Have you ever wondered what it was like to witness the foundation of the Republic of Turkey? Last weekend, my classmates and I had the chance to explore the Museum of Turkish Republic History, which truly was and one of the most memorable and educational trips we have ever experienced.
The museum offered an incredible experience through its immersive exhibitions. It felt as if we stepped into a time capsule, reliving the most interesting moments of Turkey’s history. Each step we took led us deeper and deeper into our history; in a way no other form of education could ever replicate. In addition, the staff was genuinely passionate about history which kept each and every student completely engaged the whole way through.
However, the experience did have its fair share of flaws. The museum was filled to the brim which limited our ability to fully engage with some of the more popular exhibits. The gift shop was also noticeably overpriced, which did not suit most students’ budgets and left many feeling disappointed.
Despite these minor flaws, I would strongly urge anyone who wishes to experience history as if it were unfolding in front of their eyes to visit this museum.
