The Door to Unlimited Imagination

Books are one of the greatest treasures in life. They are extraordinary works created by the imagination. However, nowadays, reading books has taken a backseat to other activities, such as watching TV and playing games.

By reading books, we gain access to information that we may never encounter in our lifetime on Earth. Of course, when the knowledge we acquire is combined with our imagination, there is no challenge we cannot overcome. Reading books is also an activity that improves memory. Additionally, by reading, we learn new words and strengthen our vocabulary.

There is a huge difference in the way a good reader views life compared to someone who does not read books regularly. This difference often becomes apparent in everyday life. For example, a person who does not read a book may pass by a statue on the street without a second thought, while a reader might stop to examine it, asking questions like when it was built or why it exists. While reading books provides us with new information and ideas, those who spend all day in front of a screen are often just wasting time.

For instance, imagine a person in your life who has poor comprehension skills. Now, place a smart person who reads books next to them. Show them both the same text and ask them about the topic. Most likely, the person who doesn’t read books will struggle to understand the content, while the book reader will be able to provide a well-informed response in just a few words.

In short, reading books improves your cognitive skills in life, such as thinking, understanding, and comprehension.
