The Light

One day I woke up and spent an hour lying in bed, looking at my phone. When I got annoyed by my own bad breath, I got up, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and changed my clothes. I looked outside, and everything was normal. I took my tea and had breakfast while watching television on my couch. When I went to clear my breakfast plate, everything started at the exact moment that strange light filled the room through the window. My eyes began to burn, and suddenly I closed my curtains and turned on the news. When the news came on, there was a man in the newsroom, panicking. As he started explaining what was happening, I became terrified. An apocalypse had begun. The sun was burning everything. Because of the sun, the only time you could go outside was at night—but at night, some zombies would come out. Everyone went mad and tried to escape. Anyone who tried to escape either lost their home or their life. Some people tried to stay in others’ houses, but the zombies had become smarter. They were now trying to enter homes. But you had to let some people into your house, because a certain zombie would come and listen to your home. And if your house was quiet, it would enter your home and eat you. So you had to let some people in. Just make sure they are human.
