The Magic Glasses

It has been a while since I found the magical glasses which prevent people to see their flaws. I was camping with my friends as I stepped upon a shiny object that has embedded itself into the soil, I dug it out, they were a pair of nice-looking glasses. I tried them on and as soon as I wore them the reality started to shape-shift, it was like being in a washing machine, I looked down to my hands and arms and saw no flaws; no scar and a disease on my hands that caused them to swell up in some places had also disappeared. I immediately ran back to the campsite, eager to show my findings to my friends. As I was back, I called my friends to gather together and told them that I found something interesting. I told them about the glasses, of course they wanted to see and wear them so I handed them the glasses. I could see it in their eyes that they were amazed by the glasses and its effects. Some even offered me big amounts of money for the glasses which I didn’t accept, little did I know this would be a huge regret for me since the glasses had a side effect which me and my friends didn’t realize at first. The glasses made you age a hundred times faster while being worn. I was showing the glasses to all my friends and made them wear it to make them see the effects on themselves, most of them were mesmerized by the effects. I started to see the effects after about two months I had found the glasses in the woods. I would put the glasses on every time that I went out to hang out with my friends, which is quite often when you are about the age of twenty, the rapid aging started to show its effects. I even got a couple of white strands of hair. However, it was too late to reverse the damage that was already done. I made a stand for the glasses on my desk and started to keep them there, sometimes I still wear them for a minute or two just to feel the feeling when the glasses warp the image of myself to hide my flaws.
