Fashion is the style of clothing and appearance that people follow during a certain period. It changes over time and is shaped by what society likes. Today, fashion still holds an important place. People change their clothes depending on the place they’re going to and the people they’ll be with. At the same time, they also pay a lot of attention to what others are wearing.
When people put together an outfit, they actually reflect their personalities as well. Some people combine basic pieces in very unique ways and make others say “Wow,” while others wear them as they are without putting in much effort. Even this shows how different their personalities are. But unfortunately, in today’s world, people who express their unique style can sometimes be bullied by society. Breaking certain standards—ones that no one really knows who decided—can be seen as wrong. However, there are also those who don’t care about this and dress however they want. In such cases, fashion becomes a voice for them, helping them express things they don’t say out loud.
Some people just wear something suitable for the place they’re going to and don’t really care much about it. In these cases, fashion becomes only about appearance. They choose outfits that are simple, not too flashy or unusual, so that they’ll be accepted by others. They don’t spend much time thinking about fashion. Instead, they may prefer clothes that are popular or traditional in their own culture. Even though these people don’t care much about what they wear and see it only as a matter of appearance, others might not see it that way. People can assign different meanings to their clothing, and no one can stop them from doing so.
In conclusion, I believe fashion is not just about appearance. It also reflects people’s emotions, thoughts, and things they can’t express with words. It’s a way of showing what they feel inside. For example, if someone is happy, they might wear more colorful clothes, while someone who is sad might choose darker tones. What a person wears can also show their respect and feelings toward others or the environment they are in.
