The Problems Today’s Youth Faces

Nowadays, young people all have a problem in common: socializing. Social media has been slowly destroying our ability to socialize, which can lead to psychological problems such as depression and social anxiety.

However, there is always a solution to every problem. I believe we can address this issue by coding a program that calculates a person’s average screen time throughout the week and determines whether it is high or low. If the result is well above average, the program would start limiting the usage of certain apps and decide which applications should be restricted and which should not.

I believe this could help reduce socialization and bullying problems among teenagers. Even if it does not solve the problem entirely, it could encourage teenagers to socialize more and make new friends, which may also help reduce bullying and create a more peaceful school environment.

Teenagers’ lack of social skills can also be traced back to how their parents treated them during childhood. If parents did not spend enough time with their children and instead gave them phones to keep them occupied, this could lead to phone addiction. If this continues, their academic performance may decline, and they may eventually fail their classes.

Excessive phone use can also lead to health problems such as rapid weight gain and eye issues in the future. Additionally, teenagers may begin to admire people who display wealthy lifestyles on social media, which can cause them to hide their real personalities and instead imitate the personalities of people they follow online.

In my opinion, humanity still has time to fix this issue. Therefore, we should start addressing these problems before it is too late.
