Everything began when a light came through the window. It was late in the evening, and I was sleeping in my room. Suddenly, a strange green light appeared outside the window. I woke up because of the light. The room was quiet, and there was no noise outside. I felt scared, and it was impossible to fall asleep again.
I turned on my lamp. The window was open. I decided to stand up and look outside. My heart started to beat fast. My room looked different. I walked toward the window, and the light moved closer to me. My legs were shaking. The trees were shining, the sky was green, and there were strange stars.
I opened the window wider. The light came closer and touched my hand. I felt safe. I understood that it was friendly, and I was no longer afraid. The light moved around me like a guide, and a stranger appeared, smiling at me kindly. Suddenly, the room changed. The walls and the floor disappeared, and I was standing somewhere else.
I was in a large field. The grass was silver, and there were no flowers. The sky was purple. There was no sun, no moon, and no stars.
The stranger in the light walked in front of me, and I followed. We walked slowly. I looked around carefully. There were no trees, no green, and no blue. I heard sad music, and I felt sorry.
We came to a small lake. The water was gray and dirty. I looked into the lake and saw my reflection, but I looked older, weak, unhappy, and hopeless.
Then I understood something important. This place was showing my future. It was also showing the future of the world.
The stranger said, “If people continue to live the same way, if they don’t think about the rest of the world, the green will die and the blue will die. The world will become like this in the future. In the end, the world will die. People must think about the world and change themselves. You must tell this to everyone.”
The light moved again, and I followed it back. The colors slowly changed. The sky became dark, and the grass returned to normal. Suddenly, I was in my room again. The window was still open, and the lamp was still on. Everything looked normal.
But I was different. I felt sad, but also stronger. I knew the light was real. I sat at my desk, took my pencil, and wrote everything that happened that night. People may not believe me, but I know I can change something. I can warn people. I can write this story.
