Sometimes we are all afraid to express our own opinions. We get scared of all the consequences that might happen. But what if we don’t have to be afraid?
Talking about someone else is easier than talking about yourself. As humans, we psychologically can’t stand exposing our own sides we don’t like. We’re all actors. Always acting like other people, never acting like ourselves. We’re a puzzle with missing pieces. Puzzle pieces are forced to fit in spots where they’re not supposed to fit, just so it could look complete.
We’re always afraid to talk like ourselves. But it is us we have to discover and live with. Us we have to share feelings and thoughts with. Masking the truth about ourselves is an option, but always gets chosen. Acting like another person would never change you. But it does change other people’s mind. They meet another person, not you.
We hide the true us. We can only live off other people. But it is our character that seperates us. Hiding it would only make us the same. Like dolls in a factory. Everyone has no difference except their appereance. It only feels right if we’re not the one doing it. It only feels comfortable if they’re the one doing it. Blaming it feels like the easy thing to do.
We live in a world of the truth of lies.
“Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.”
-Oscar Wilde
