The White Cat

In the forest lived a little white cat. Everyone around him thought he was very smart and they always asked him the questions they were curious about. Although he wasn’t quite sure about what he wanted, all animals in the forest were sure that he was destined to be a genius.

In a particularly cold winter, a witch and her black cat arrived in the forest where they built a small cottage beneath the canopy. After a few weeks the cat of the witch told a few birds to spread the rumour that she herself will grant an animal in the forest who she deems worthy a wish and that they had to arrive in 2 weeks’ time. In that period a thick layer of snow covered the forest. There were many creatures in front of the rock behind the cottage where the cat of the witch stood that day but no one in the audience was able to see any wish come true. To taint the black cat’s reputation further the white cat wasn’t seen since the meeting behind cottage. As a result, the witch and the cat were forbidden to enter the forest ever again despite the human’s innocence.

When spring came a white bird visited the forest and perched on top of the rock and started singing, gathering the forest in the same place again.
