Hi, I’m Tom, and today I am proud of myself. I had a swimming lesson this morning. It started at 5:45 a.m. and finished at 8:00 a.m. We had a big training session, and I swam 200 meters mixed style. Normally, I finish in 3:08, but today I finished in 3:00. It was very hard, but I did it. I pushed myself and didn’t give up. My coach said, “It’s so hard — how did you do it?” I smiled and said that my mom and I were proud of me.
That wasn’t the only reason I felt proud. Later, I got my science exam results, and I scored 95. I studied a lot for that exam, so seeing my hard work pay off made me very happy. Today showed me that if I work hard and believe in myself, I can achieve great things. Thank you for listening to me.
