The line graph presents the total population in billions over the years in two different countries, India and China.
The population of both the countries has increased throughout the years starting from the year 2000. Even though the numbers are increasing, India continues to have the same gradually increasing line, while the total population in China starts to decrease.
In 2000, the total population of India was 1,000 billion, while China had a population of 1,250 billion. Both of the countries start increasing their numbers and become the same amount at 2030, according to the projections.
The population of China starts to decrease after the year 2030 and continues decreasing to the year 2050. It can be seen that it decreased to approximately 1,400 billion. That makes the population of China only increase by 0.150 billion.
Whereas India continues its growth to the year 2050 and reaches 1,600 billion, which is 0.200 billion more than China’s total population. India increased its population by 0.600 billion over 50 years.
