Last summer, I went to Tokyo, Japan. It was my first time in Japan, and I was very excited. Tokyo is a big and modern city. There are many lights, tall buildings, and a lot of people everywhere. The city is very busy, but it is also very clean and safe.
I arrived at Haneda Airport. The airport was clean and well-organized. From there, I took a train to my hotel in Shinjuku. The train system in Tokyo is very fast and easy to use. I bought a Suica card, which is a smart card for trains and buses. It made traveling very simple. My hotel was small but very clean. The staff were kind and helpful. They spoke some English, so it was easy to ask questions. On the first day, I went to Shibuya. I saw the famous Shibuya Crossing. Many people crossed the street at the same time. It was amazing and fun to watch. I also visited the Meiji Shrine. It is a peaceful place in the middle of the city. There were big trees and a beautiful wooden gate. The trees were chery trees, also known as the satura trees. The surroundings were apealing and it was a quiet and special moment. On the second day, I went to Asakusa to see the Sensoji Temple. It is the oldest temple in Tokyo. There were many shops near the temple. I tried some Japanese snacks like taiyaki and many more. They were delicious and sweet. Later, I visited Akihabara. It is a famous place for films and video games. The stores had many toys, films and electronics. I bought some small souvenirs for my friends and family. One night, I ate sushi at a sushi train restaurant. The food came on a conveyor belt. It was fun and tasty. I also drank tea and ate a lot of snacks.
Tokyo is a city where tradition and modern life mix together. People are polite, and the streets are very clean. I had a great time in Tokyo, and I hope I can go again as soon as possible.
