Unexpected but Peaceful

When I opened my eyes, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The night before had ended with the sound of rain tapping on my window. But now, the walls of my room were gone, replaced by an endless forest. A thin mist floated around my bed, and the sound of birds echoed in my ears. I reached out my hand; instead of my sheets, I touched wet leaves. Everything was strangely quiet, and that silence scared me. I had no idea where I was.

I stood up, still thinking I must be dreaming. But when the cool air touched my skin, a shiver ran through me—it felt too real. In the distance, a small stream was flowing, and the morning sun was shining on the surface of the water. I took one step, then another. With every step, the noise of city life faded a little more. In a strange way, it was peaceful. Being lost in a deserted place felt as if I had entered another world. Who could have imagined that such beauty existed beyond the horns, tall buildings, and smell of petrol that filled my daily life?

Then, under a tree, I found a small box with my name on it. My hands trembled as I opened it. Inside was a compass, its needle pointing only one way—east, toward the rising sun. I took a deep breath and started walking. I could feel in my heart that I was moving in the right direction, that this was where I truly belonged. This was my destiny.

Maybe this was the sign I had been waiting for my whole life. When I finally arrived, I couldn’t believe what I saw—but maybe I was meant to believe it. Because sometimes, reality is far more magical than dreams.
