There is a seventh continent in the Pacific Ocean called the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch.” This island is made of plastic garbage, and the main problem is humans. Even though people use a lot of plastic in their daily lives, they often don’t have an effective garbage control system. They don’t separate recyclable garbage from organic garbage. My solution is to create a worldwide law that countries will apply, called “International Waste Management.”
Countries will establish recyclable garbage collection areas and create systems to manage floating garbage in the oceans. There will be an application that allows people to see the location of these garbage areas. They will bring their garbage and put it into the trash bins according to its type. They will be given free small trash bins with four parts: paper, plastic, glass, and organic waste. People who follow the “International Waste Management” guidelines will be rewarded, and people who throw their garbage in forests and oceans will face high penalties. Countries will inform people about the garbage collection areas and will create advertisements on TV channels and billboards.
I believe that with this system, our oceans and forests will be cleaner, and animals will be safer. Please see a video about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch for more information.
