One day, instead of blue, the sky started raining green, and everything changed.
At first, no one noticed the shift. People went about their morning routines, the world moving as usual. But as the first drops touched the earth, they didn’t sizzle or soak into the ground like rain should. Instead, the green droplets spread like a blanket, coating rooftops, streets, and leaves in a shimmering way.
The air was thick with the scent of fresh grass a strange but yet comforting smell that wrapped with the earthy fragrance of the wet pavement. It was soft ,cool and the moment the rain touched skin, it felt like something ancient had awakened inside people, something they didn’t know was there.
At first, it was a quiet wonder. Children ran out into the streets, laughing, catching drops on their tongues. But soon, the excitement turned to confusion. The green began to spread across everything it touched. Flowers bloomed in odd, vibrant colors tulips next to sunflowers streaked with emerald veins. Trees grew thick, curling vines where there had once been bare branches. Even the animals were different. Birds with shimmering feathers flew overhead, and squirrels scurried along branches, their fur now touched with streaks of emerald.
The strangest change was in the people. As the rain continued to pour, their skin began to shift, subtly at first. Eyes took on a faint, green glow, and hair became longer and thick, as though the rain had woven itself into their very being. People’s emotions, too, began to change. Once indifferent, they found themselves overwhelmed by a sense of deep connection to the earth. They saw the world through a different lens now, as if everything was alive, and they were part of it.
Then, the questions began. What had happened to the sky? Why had it stopped being blue? The sky itself had changed too. It wasn’t green exactly, but a soft, pale green like the inside of a leaf an endless, soft green happiness.
As the days that followed the world adapted to the new rain. Humans and nature intertwined. The cities grew lush, rooftops transformed into gardens, and people found peace in the green that now enveloped them. But one thing remained clear: the rain had not just altered the world it had altered them, and nothing would ever be the same again.
