When We Want to Forget or Remember Something

We all want to forget some things, especially if they are not good and we think about them all the time. A few weeks ago, something came to my mind: the Chernobyl nuclear plant accident that happened about 30 years ago. I wanted to get some information about it from my mom and dad. When they told me about it, I couldn’t sleep for at least three days. I always wanted to forget it because it scared me a lot. This is one of my memories that shows how sometimes we want to forget things.

Now let’s talk about the things we want to remember. This often happens to me when I am speaking to my friend. I remember something important, but while I am trying to say it, my friend interrupts me and I forget my whole sentence.

Here is another memory. A week ago, when I was coming home from my dad’s house, I forgot the password at the entrance. Normally I remember it, but this time I couldn’t. Thankfully, I called my mom and she opened the door. This is another example of wanting to remember things.
