Youth In Decision Making

In most democratic practices in our country, I feel there is a lack of rights and opportunities given to the youth. Compared to older generations, young people often have the greatest imagination, creativity, and forward-looking perspectives. As people age, their cognitive flexibility and problem-solving skills tend to decline, which can limit their ability to adopt new and advanced ways of thinking. In contrast, young people have a more open and innovative outlook, with greater potential to develop unique approaches.

However, young people are rarely included in public decision-making processes. I believe this exclusion stems largely from a bias that views youth as inexperienced and lacking necessary skills. While I agree that decision-makers should meet certain standards, providing young people with opportunities to participate will prepare them to lead effectively in the next generation of politics.
